Akshay Jhanjee, The Founder Of Khyber Grill Frontier Indian Cuisine &Caterers, Is A Second-Generation Restaurateur And Caterer. The Son Of Raja Jhanjee, Co-Owner Of The Famous Bukhara Grill In NYC, Jhanjee First Learned His Craft By Working Alongside His Father Since The Age Of 14.
Akshay Went Through An Extensive Training In Every Hospitality Department From Restaurant, Catering, Bar & Banquets. He Eventually Branched Off In 2011 By Opening A Restaurant In The Heart Of New Jersey, South Plainfield, Has Now Established A Phenomenal Reputation In The South- Asian Restaurant And Catering Business.
Popular By The Name Of Khyber Grill Restaurant And Caterers, His Very First Enterprise Was Awarded The Best Indian Restaurant Two Years In A Row By New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Accolades Only Continue To Grow Since Then.
In 2017 Jhanjee Decided It Was Time To Open A Location In North Jersey, A Location That Would Replicate The Same Service & Cuisine Standards As The Previous Location. In December Of 2017 Akshay Has Now Opened A New Unit By The Khyber Grill Brand, Tashan: Divine Indian Dining. Tashan Is A Restaurant Which Is All About A Unique Style & Creative Presentation While Still Maintaining The Taste Of Authentic Indian Dining.
In March of 2018, Akshay & His Younger Brother Arnav Teamed Up To Open A New Location, Peshawri Grill In Mahwah, NJ. Peshawri Grill, features the romance of the rustic North-West Frontier Of India. Peshawri Grill has tailored its style to tradtional tandoor cooking. A style dedicated to flavorful tandoor cooked vegetables, meats & breads. The menu features Distinctive Regional Indian Cuisine From Savory Street Food To Mouthwatering Vegetable Specialties And Aromatic Curries.
